F1 25 will officially take to the track on May 30, providing players with the most advanced and realistic entry in the series yet.
From contending for the World Championship in Braking Point 3 to handling the day-to-day responsibilities of running an F1 team in My Team 2.0, F1 25 is set to have it all, but what about a Nintendo Switch 2 port?
At the time of writing, EA SPORTS and Codemasters have confirmed that F1 25 will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with no mention of the Switch 1 or 2.
Barring any last-minute surprises, this likely means that F1 25 will not be playable on the Switch 2, which is planned to launch just six days later on June 5. At least not to begin with, anyway.
As we so often see within the gaming industry nowadays, many studios decide to expand their titles across various consoles following an initial release on a limited platform, so the possibility of F1 25 arriving on the Switch 2 in the future cannot be entirely ruled out. However, considering there hasn't been a regular F1 game on a Nintendo system since F1 2009 was on the Wii, this seems unlikely.
That said, fans can perhaps take a little bit of hope away from the fact that EA has a good history with porting games to the Switch 1, not to mention that EA FC and Madden are already confirmed to arrive on the Switch 2, so it would be wrong to rule it out completely.
All fans can do in the meantime is wait and see if there's some kind of official announcement from EA and Codemasters themselves.
