The next Forza game, expected to be Forza Horizon 6, was confirmed during the Xbox Games Showcase and even given a release date by the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer.

While the game was not announced via an official trailer or preview, it was briefly mentioned by Spencer as he spoke about Xbox's 25th anniversary.

When Is the Next Forza Game Coming Out?

According to Phil Spencer, the next Forza game will be released in 2026 to coincide with 25 years of Xbox.

Speaking during the Xbox Games Showcase, Spencer said:

"Looking ahead, next year marks 25 years of Xbox. It’s a big milestone for the platform and the franchises that you helped build and make popular.
"We couldn’t have done this without everyone who’s been with us on this journey. As we think about bringing a new generation of players to these iconic franchises, I’m excited to share that players will get to celebrate 25 years of Xbox with a new Fable, the next Forza, Gears of War: E-Day and the return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning."

Although Spencer's teasing remark fell short of revealing the name of Forza's next installment, it is widely expected to be Forza Horizon 6, considering Horizon 5 launched back in 2021 and Forza Motorsport was released more recently in 2023.

Despite its lack of monthly content drops and updates, Horizon 5 continues to be played by millions worldwide, and even topped the PlayStation 5 sales charts following its release on Sony's platform in April this year.
