Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has been running short of schedule for the better part of the past year.

As already teased multiple times, the update is heavy on JDM. The game didn't have much JDM representation, so more of it is welcome.

Season 7 of Test Drive Unlimited will release on September 2, 2026.

Season 7 is light on new content, as KT Racing is focusing on delivering big next season with a housing update. 

However, there will be several neat changes and improvements coming with the update.

FOMO is being reduced as you'll be able to purchase all items in a bundle individually, and the cost is said to be reduced. 

Meanwhile, Solar Pass will see a price increase, but it'll also start rewarding Diamonds later down the road. 

Other improvements include a new tab for live events, removable spoilers for select cars, and improved tire grip physics. 

Mid-season, a brand-new third-person chase camera will be introduced.
