Gran Turismo 7 has introduced a new Online Lap Time Challenge featuring the Aston Martin Vantage from Update 1.57.
The challenge will see players take to the Watkins Glen International Long Course in the British sports car which was only added to the game last week, with the challenge remaining open until April 10.
As the name suggests, Lap Time Challenges see players go head to head as they aim to set the fastest lap time using the featured car and track. These events are often a good way to test your driving skills in Gran Turismo 7 and measure progress.
Players earn credits based on how their best lap time compares to the world record. A gold medal (within 3%) receives 2 million credits, while silver (within 5%) and bronze (within 10%) offer smaller rewards.
Lap Time Challenge Rules
Each challenge also comes with its own rules, and Watkins Glen International is no exception.
Here are the rules and restrictions in place for this latest Lap Time Challenge:
- Available Tyres: Sports
- Wide Body: Prohibited
- Nitrous/Overtake: Prohibited
- BoP/Tuning Prohibited: On
- Car Settings: Specified
- Track Limit: Normal
- Shortcut Penalty: Invalidate Time
Your best lap time will be registered and saved in the global leaderboard, and if it's good enough, you may earn some valuable credits or other rewards once the challenge has expired.
