  • Primary Subject: The Crew Motorfest - Season 9
  • Key Update: Season 9 introduces Playground Island, a comprehensive track creator, and a NASCAR.
  • Status: Confirmed
  • Last Verified: February 27, 2026
  • Quick Answer: Launching March 4, 2026, Season 9 adds a new island, the Track Forge beta, and the NASCAR Motorfest Tour. A new RC (Remote Control) playlist is also set to debut later in the season for Year 3 Pass holders.

One thing The Crew games have done remarkably well, perhaps better than any other title in the genre, is their post-launch support.

The next update is Season 9 for The Crew Motorfest, and the racer appears to have simply forgotten how to use the brakes.

Key highlights for the season include a new island, a full-fledged track creator, and two new Playlists in NASCAR and RC. That's outrageous, we know.

The new area in Season 9 is called Playground Island and is themed around the new track creator. From the trailer, it looks colorful with loops and magnetic tracks you'd see in Hot Wheels, as well as some wild scenes like an underground aquarium.

It is a proper theme park feel for an arcade racer. Expect all the busywork you've seen in other areas, including unique points of interest in Playground Island. A trailer will probably give you a better look at what's in store:

If you don't like the look of the island, you can create your own with Track Forge. The mode is said to have been in development for 18 months, and a beta version will be available with Season 9.

Tracks are divided into three categories, and each will get increasingly gnarly. The first one is Authentic Motorsport. As the name suggests, it will keep the rubber firmly grounded on tarmac.

Unleashed Motorsport will tweak things a little with surprises like jumps and stuff. Coastal Tracks is the third category of tracks, and it'll let you go bonkers with roller coaster loops and crazy level designs.

We're probably underselling it. The potential here is pretty good.

Race and Time Attack are two different race types available in the initial beta release. Outside of this, expect all the major features like sharing, filtering, searching, and more to be available.

The Crew Motorfest Season 9 Playlists

Two new Playlists will be available with Season 9 of The Crew Motorfest: NASCAR and RC. We don't know much about RC yet. It is locked behind the Year 3 pass and is said to arrive at a later date, around May.

NASCAR will release as Season 9 goes live, and it is going to be a proper experience. The Playlist will be called NASCAR Motorfest Tour and is about you, as a rookie, taking on the intense challenges that Oval is known for.

There is a lot of drama and collisions. You can check the trailer for the Playlist below.

We will have all authentic names for teams and drivers. Driving experience is realistic as well. There are official NASCAR rules and regulations, slipstreaming, pit stops, warm-up laps, and much more.

Damage physics also appear to have improved based on the trailer. Likewise, RC cars will have different physics from the other Playlists as they're much lighter and more nimble than anything in the game.
