KT Racing has unveiled the details of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Season 4, which is expected to arrive in late July.
This upcoming update features major upgrades like the long-awaited casino, four new vehicles, a new Solar Pass System, and improvements ahead of Year 2 content.
The casino Feature is returning with Limited Access
The biggest addition in Season 4 is the return of the casino, a fan favorite from Test Drive Unlimited 2. However, not all players will have access to it, as gambling laws prevent its use in certain countries.
However, participants will still find two slot machines: Macao Lights, which offers rewards such as the rare Mercedes-AMG GT Black and 77,777 Casino Chips. Golden Dragon slots with a million-chip jackpot and possibly a poker mini-game are also expected to be added with a mid-season upgrade.
The casino will also feature exclusive cosmetic stores for clothing and car parts, along with the ability to convert as well as winnings into Solar Coins, which is expected to be added in a future update.
New Vehicles and Dealership Changes
This new season will also debut for new vehicles. The DB Volante will be available for all players, but the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato and DeLorean Alpha 5 will be locked behind a paid Solar Pass. A customized Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 body kit is also expected.
Additionally, two previously locked reward cars, the Bugatti Chiron SS 300+ and the Aston Martin Valour, will now be made available in dealerships, reducing the long wait times from previous seasons.
Solar Pass Overhaul and Premium Currency
The Solar Pass also receives a major improvement, having both a free and a premium tier. While progression is now 30% faster and Daily Challenge XP has increased, Diamonds, the new currency in Season 4, are used to purchase the pass or tier skips. A starter pack of 500 diamonds costs $/€ 4.99.
Other additions and what's next
Lastly, the update also includes UI updates, performance enhancements for PlayStation 5, and the return of the SARD anti-cheat for PC. A 2-year dev diary video is also expected, previewing Seasons 5-8 and a big overhaul to the KT Engine.
