F1 25 is here, presenting players with one of the most ambitious and advanced entries in the popular racing series to date!
While Codemasters and EA SPORTS' latest title appears to have gotten off to a strong start following its worldwide launch, it hasn't been immune to bugs, glitches, and other stability-related issues.
This is often the case for any newly released game, especially early post-launch. Fortunately, EA has confirmed that the F1 25 team is actively looking at and investigating all of the known issues so far.
All Known F1 25 Issues and Incoming Patches
Bugs, glitches, and other performance-related issues are to be expected with a newly released game, and F1 25 is no exception.
Although players seem to be enjoying many of the game's new features and realistic graphics, a number of community-raised problems are holding F1 25 back from reaching its full potential.
The good news is that developers are looking into many of the issues and subsequently working on a fix for each one. If you have encountered an annoying bug in F1 25 and are wondering whether or not it's being investigated, don't stress, we've listed all of the known issues and incoming patches below!
Under Investigation
Career
- Icon drivers use the same driver numbers as F2 drivers (My Team)
- Driver Icons cannot be disabled from being recruited (Two-Player Career)
- Accelerated team performance and insignificant regulation changes resulting in too short a time for teams to reach their full potential (My Team)

- HDR appears 'washed out' in some configurations (PC Only)
- Ghosting when using FSR/Frame Generation (PC Only). An update to the FSR 3 version used in-game will be made in a future patch, aiming to improve ghosting

- Incorrect specular highlight in drivers eyes (PC Only)
- Light under wheels in Photo Mode when Path Tracing is enabled
Misc.
- Drivers being held in the pits unnecessarily in some circumstances
Workaround: To avoid extended waits in the pits, please disable 'Pit Release Assist' for the time being.
- Some Iconic Edition players yet to receive their F1 TV Pro Codes (US Only)
Note from Dev: Whilst most eligible players have received their codes, we are looking to generate a number of additional F1 TV Pro codes for those who pre-ordered the Iconic Edition in the US. We will look to share an update soon. This code will also be displayed on your EA Account under Profile > Payment and Wallet > Offers and Promotions.
Stability
- Game crashes on PC
Workaround: In pre-release testing, the majority of PC crashes were resolved by ensuring graphics drivers are up-to-date.
- Users on AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics cards may experience crashes when Path Tracing is enabled. We are being supported by our partners at AMD to improve stability on these graphics cards, particularly on night tracks
- Crashes when using triple-screens (PC Only)
Workaround: When using triple screens, disable DLSS for the time being.
Tracks
- Incorrect time of day in Miami (Qualifying and Sprint Race), Bahrain (Practice and Qualifying), and Qatar (Practice and Qualifying)
- Monaco 'Two-Stop' not being applied correctly in certain circumstances
- Small track bump at Spain (Turn 14)
UI/UDP
- Time left in session UI appears incorrectly
- Unable to freely move some OSD elements
- Game year being reported as 0 before race start
- Keyboard can get stuck on the screen (PS5 Only)
Workaround: Press the PlayStation button on your controller to open the console overlay, then return to the game.
- Other unexpected text capitalisation on OSD elements

Note from Dev: A related issue resulting in an incorrect number of drivers in a team is also expected to be resolved at the same time as this.

VR
- Head tracking issues leading to jitter/stutter (PC Only)
Note from Dev: An update to the SDK for VR in F1 25 will be made in an upcoming patch, with the goal of improving the performance overall and issues such as this.
